10 REASONS WHY THE FARM AT SAN BENITO IS PERFECT FOR FIRST-TIME MOMS

Brutally exhausting and unimaginably tiring. For someone who has no yaya and who’s far from her family, that’s how I’ll describe the first three months of a first time mom.

That’s why before the extended maternity leave is over, we booked Narra Pool Villa of The Farm in San Benito to give ourselves the break that we deserve

Here are 10 astounding reasons why this place is perfect for first time moms, returning to work in no time.

1. Quick Drive

Going out of town with a 3-month old baby for the first time is a little scary. You don’t know if it’ll be stressful for you, for him or the whole family. That’s why we opted for a quick trip down South. Driving to The Farm will only take you one and a half hour if you’re coming from Manila. No traffic, nice scenery, just a glimpse of what your vacation will be.

2. Considerate staff

Standard check in time is at 2:00 PM but we arrived around lunch time. We patiently waited for our room to be ready but when they saw my baby getting a little fussy, they immediately allowed us to check in. We were given one of the closest villa to the restaurant that offers a way much better view of the forest.

3. Spacious Room

Narra Pool Villa has a total area of 200 sq.m that’s why having a bathroom with double sinks, shower, bath tub and two toilets fit perfectly. Oh, and the super king-sized bed with fine linens is everything a sleep deprived mother dreams of.

4. Infinity Pool

Fresh water, trees, birds chirping, fresh air, dragonflies and the sound of nature. What more can you ask for? I’ve been swimming since  grade school but this swim, is by far, the most liberating and everything I needed (next to a bed).

5. Bath Tub

If you’re not yet contented with a refreshing swim, there’s a hot tub with a floor to ceiling glass walls that allows you to have a clear  view of the garden. Even their shower room has no curtain. But no need to worry as the villa was designed with utmost care for your privacy and security.

6. Body Polish

Taking a shower at home is the closest I can get to a “me time” during the early stage of motherhood. And finding this Body Polish which feels and smells like a fresh coconut scrub that exfoliates dead skin makes this place really perfect!

7. Covered Terrace

Side by side the infinity pool is a spacious terrace. We woke up early to sit on a comfortable couch, listening to the sound of nature, waiting for the sun to rise while enjoying a hot cup of tea and a yummy roasted cacao nibs with chia and flax seeds.

8. Food

The Farm at San Benito is a wellness resort that’s why offering Vegan cuisine is no surprise. On our way to our Villa, we saw numerous herbs and other spices being planted. It’s nice to know how this place could be self-sustaining and healthy in preparing meals for valued guests and employees.

9. Nature

We were confined in the walls of our awesome villa since all we want is to literally rest. But we decided to have breakfast in Alive Restaurant and it gave us a glimpse of how much this resort has to offer. You’ll see animals, trees, flowers, and you’ll literally be surrounded by nature. The Farm at San Benito sits on a 48-hectare property and being an eco-luxury holistic medical wellness resort, we know that we only saw a small percentage of how great this resort is.

10. Peace

Booking a Narra Pool Villa for no occasion at all  is relatively expensive but if you have a few bucks to spare, then go ahead and give yourself a reward. No amount of money can give you the peace and sanity you need after three months of thriving in a new world that you’re now into.

Taking a 3-month old infant on a vacation who is exclusively breastfed is still very challenging and chaotic. They say you just changed the scenery but in reality, you are still babysitting. That’s why, we are very happy with The Narra Pool Villa as it made babysitting more fun and relaxing.

Stolen moments to enjoy the pool, the tub and the view while the baby is asleep is everything we needed. Those stolen hours may be short and tight but it definitely gave us the time to breathe before going back to the real world saying once again, “Ok son, let’s do this!”.
