Seven days before the Taal volcano started erupting last 2020, we spent a peaceful weekend in this splendid place. We’ve been in Cliffhouse Tagaytay several times but we didn’t know there’s a hidden haven in the midst of those restaurants. Through Agoda, we found this American-inspired place called The Inn at Cliffhouse Tagaytay.
Here are some reasons why you’ll also love this low key and understated bed and breakfast in Tagaytay!
1. Spacious room

When I say space, I’m referring to a 100 sq.m corner West Quoddy suite with two premium beds that opens to your own terrace and outdoor jacuzzi. It has an en suite bathroom with dual vanities and rain showerhead. It’s complete in terms of toiletries, waffle robes, slippers and cotton towels. The room is also equipped with a 50-inch wall TV, mini-bar and a safe. Again, with this 100-sq.m suite, space will never be a concern.
2. Outdoor jacuzzi
For someone whose baby always cry when the Mom is out of sight, a quick hot dip from this outdoor jacuzzi is a piece of heaven already. The view, cold breeze, sound of birds chirping will surely give you the peace and relaxation you’ve been dreaming of.
3. Nearby restaurants

Cliffhouse Tagaytay is actually more famous as a boutique commercial complex with good restaurants/stores. In case you’re too lazy to explore different restaurants outside, just steps away from the Inn are Fire Lake Grill, Buon Giorno, Concha’s Garden, and UCC Clockwork. This makes our stay even more convenient as we have a diverse option to choose from for our never-ending cravings!
Tips and things to consider:
Upon checking in, we were advised that The Inn at Cliffhouse Tagaytay is not a hotel thus, 24/7 service is unavailable. You can’t call anyone in the wee hours of the night for any concern that’s why you need to ask and advise them of any request as early as possible. Their customer service by the way is superb!
If you’re booking thru Agoda and you’re travelling with infants, please check carefully if you need to pay for that extra headcount. Eventhough our son was just 7 months old, as a result of their policy, we paid. So if you have young kids with you, I highly suggest to book directly to avoid that extra charge.
The balcony’s partition is not concrete, thus there can be a chance that you can hear what’s going on on the other side/room. I believe it was deliberately designed that way so in case you want to book all the rooms for a family reunion or event, you can enjoy a long, wide and spacious veranda for the whole gang!

In conclusion, our stay in The Inn at Cliffhouse Tagaytay gave us the quick break we needed! We checked out with the belief that it is indeed a low key and understated haven in the midst of Tagaytay. The comfort and luxury, partnered with the cool breeze, the view and restaurants nearby made our stay, worthwhile.
